Sugarcane Growers' Socio-economic and Psychological Attributes in the Balrampur Area of Uttar Pradesh, India

Sugarcane is cultivated mainly for its juice from which sugar, jaggery, and sugar palm are processed. Most of the world's sugarcane grown in subtropical tropical regions. an established source current benchmark efficient bio fuel production first generation feedstock. The present study was conducted to measure socioeconomic psychological characteristics growers Balrampur district, purposively selected. 24 selected villages Tulsipur tehsil district Uttar Pradesh. samples consisted 316 respondents who were through proportional random sampling method. personally interviewed during February May 2020. Data collected a pre-structured pre-tested interview schedule on socio-economic showed that most (51.58%) middle-aged. Respondents illiterate (62.78%), they took up agricultural farming as their primary occupation had operational land 1 hectare with income level medium Rs.750000/- It also revealed sometimes part social participation. whereas (67.08%) medium-level participation grower extension programs, while 33.86 44.30 per cent them low levels innovation respectively. (58.86%) moderate cosmopolitness. try get more information new ideas techniques within budget limits well farmers prone innovations collect about technology different aspects, want learn methods, improve technologies adopt those at faster rate maximum accuracy.
